More speed for imports

Magazine - latest edition

New customs procedures are heading our way. With ICS2, the EU is introducing an improved procedure for risk assessment/hazard prevention. Starting in January, German customs will require a presentation notification for shipments coming from Switzerland. New modules have been developed specifically for the needs of the community platforms in the Port of Hamburg and at Frankfurt Airport, enabling participants to make their import processes even faster. Read about the new customs regulations and platform modules in the current DAKOSY magazine.

New air cargo security procedures to be launched in March.

Every year, several trillion euros worth of goods are imported into the EU, representing around 15 percent of the global goods trade. The ICS system currently being used does not provide dedicated risk analysis. Neither does it connect all modes of transport. Therefore, that system will now be completely replaced by the new ICS2 procedure.
